KURDISH NATIONAL IDENTITY The historic cultural identity and cultural heritage of the Kurds
The Kurdish nation and the Kurdish language have been falsely declared as an Iranian (Aryan) population and as an Iranian language by the European scholars! According to the established convention in the name of linguistic, historical and ethnological the Kurdish languages and the Kurdish people are New-Persian, an Iranian language and population thus. An Iranian (Aryan) that would come into existence much more recent than 651 AD. That means that the Kurdish peoples and the Kurdish languages would have arisen in a period after overthrowing of the Sassanian-Empire1 (224-651 AD) by the Muslims in ca. 651 AD. That period would be about 9th century AD. (For more information see: Een Perzische Grammatica en Historie van deze taal, door J. G. Johan ter Haar, 1996, p. 1-3; prof. dr. J.G. Johan ter Haar is professor on the University of Leiden for Arabic, Persian and Turkish Languages and Cultures). Also see: G. Lazard, “The Rise of the New Persian Language”, in The Cambridge History of Iran Vol. 4 (From the Arab Invasion to the Saljuks) under redaction of R.N. Frye (London: Cambridge University Press 1975, 595-633). In contrast to such declaration, according to the research of Institute Elamirkan, which I lead since 1994, the well-known ancient peoples the “Elamites, Sumerians, Babylonians, Akkadians, Hati/Huti (Hittitians), Assyrians, Syrians (Arameans), Chaldeans, (X-)Hurrians, Kassitians and all other civilizations in temporary Kurdish territory” are false names adopted by the European experts, instead of their proper ancient Kurdish names. The statement in The Cambridge History of Iran, concern The Rise of the New Persian Language is just partly true for the Persian (Farsi) but absolutely not for the Kurdish. Indeed the Farsi is a new language and has arisen after the Islam. The ancient Kurdish texts which has been falsely known as Old Persian, Pahlavi and Sasanian have nothing to do with the Persian, Farsi or Iranian at all. The present superficially-similarity between Farsi and Kurdish could not be the reason to accept that Kurdish is a Persian (Iranian) language. The discovery began with the Elam and Elamite inscriptions. But in the course of the research became obvious that all that ancient Near Eastern inscriptions are inscribed in Kurdish myriad languages. I have presented literary-archaeological evidences from approx. 2400 BC - ca. 651 AD, those are texts which have been known as Elamite, Sumerian, Babylonian, Akkadian, Hittitian, Assyrian, Persian, Syriac etc. These texts have been excavated in current Kurdish territories and are written clearly in Old Kurdish languages which are in current Kurdish recognizable. In these texts appear the names of the Kurd and current Kurdish populations such as Kurd, Kurdasu, Laak, Luuŕ, Aurámi, Záíá, Suru etc.: Kurdasu (the Kurdistan) or Kurdašu (the Kurdish king; ša, šah en šu = king in Kurdish), Elamite from Šuša, ca. 2400 B C?, Pierre AMIET, Glyptique susienne. Mémoires de la Délégalion archéologique en Iran, Paris, 1972, volume I-II, P.201, nu.1579. - Pl.149. Cf. p. 191; also in Hoe Oud zijn de Kurden, H.Q. Berai 2003, p. 17 Šah Luursu (king of Luuŕsu, Luŕsán (Farsizid Luuristan in Iran), Akkadian from Šuša ca. 2000 BC (MÉMORIES, ACTES JURIDIQUES SUSIENS, V. SHEIL 1930, nu.159). Also Hoe Oud zijn de Kurden (H.Q. Berai 2003, p. 22) Kuteir Laaksu ( judge, adjudicator of Laaksu, governor of Laaksu), current Laaksu in Iran, the territories of the Laakish people. Akkadian from Šuša ca. 2000 BC (MÉMORIES, ACTES JURIDIQUES SUSIENS, V. SHEIL 1932, p. 14, nu. 173). Also Hoe Oud zijn de Kurden? (H.Q. Berai 2003, p. 24) Ša haammuú.rabi lú kurdaai (Hammú.ŕabí the Kurdish king, king Hammú.ŕabí of the Kurds). Sumerian - Old-Babylonian ca.1800 BC from Mári (Kurdsu (Syria)), (Letters to King of Mari “Archives Royales de Mari”, Paris 1950, Jean-Marie DURAND (P. 96) 55 [A.682) 10; Marco BONECHI et Amalia CATAGNOTI (p.60). Also The Mother of Cultures, H. Q. Bérai 2005, p.48A: Hammú.ŕabi (lord of the universe, god of every one) is also identical with Kurdish and it is comparable with the well-known Qurans/Arabic synonym ŕab.al.álamin, name for god “lord of the universe”. ammuuk Kurdušá- (We the Kurdish kings, (Hittitie ca. 1500 BC, from Boghazköi). Kurdali (KBo XV 10 I 2, Otten, KUB XII 63 II 22, KBo V 1 II 23l KUB XXXV 116, 10, ...) Name of a present Kurdish population between Iran and Iraq. In Iranian side Area from approx. DíLuuŕu-Mírán forwards to Eastern Bag.dá the capital of present Iraq. Kurd.a.li means “Kurdish”, the suffix -li, -lú is comparable with the English –ly, Germany –lich, Dutch –lijk, according to Kurdish. Babili Záizzaan híže Úipratuiš (Babylonian Záízán at Úí.pr.atú also), Elamite from Bísetün, ca. 540 v. Chr. (Weiβbach 1911, p. 24-25, § 19); Also the Mother of Cultures, H.Q. Bérai 2005, p. 40. Dariuš the Bersian king called the Záízáian this present Kurdish population and region at the edge of the river Úí.pr.atú , Babylonian. Thus, firstly: the Kurdish nation and the Kurdish language cannot be of the Aryan (Iranian) nor Bersian neither pretend Indo-European origin. Consequently the civilizations of the Elamite, Sumerian, Babylonian, Akkadian, Hati/Huti (Hittittian), Húrian, Aramian, Assyrian, Median, ...) belong to Kurdish historico-cultural identity and cultural-heritage. Secondly: the scientific legitimacy of the pretend Indo-European and Semitic terms falls at all, since the similarity between such languages derived from ancient Near East (Kurdish thus) root and not from the Indo-European or Semitic. Thirdly: for the same reason, the division of languages to Indo-European and Semitic is unscientific. That false statements have been systematically continued and legitimated in the name of science by Departments of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations Studies of the universities, under supervision of the International Union of Academies (IUA) http://www.uai-iua.org, dominated by the western universities and are passed on to the following generations. They consciously conceal and wipe away historical, philological and archaeological information, which can illuminate the history of the Kurdish nation. And have stated it as Elamite, Sumerian, Babylonian, Akkadian, Hittitian, Assyrian, Syriac, Hurrian, etc. and would have been extinct and have no any relation to Kurdish. Or they have stated it as Old Persian and Middle Persian (Pahlavi – Sasanian). So in previous contexts they have replaced the name Kurd with other words or transformed and misinterpreted the name of present existence Kurdish populations. The known Assyrian kings inscriptions are written clearly in the Kurdish languages e.g. Vadinán-ian, the present ethnic Kurdish tribes in Nénawá and on both sides of Iraq-Syrian borders. According to Assyrian texts, Arbil was the holy homeland of the Assyrians: Thompson, AAA 20 (1933), Pl. XCIV), p. 86, 116-117: “ilu Assur ilu NIN.LIL u ilu Ištar ašibat álu Arbaili”. Compare Kurd-ili-Ištar „Kurdish-Ister“ (Leroy Waterman,1930-36, Royal Correspondence of the Assyrian Empire, part I, letter 593: r. 3). The Assyrian was probably one of the Vadinán-ian tribes, neighbors of the Ezidian (Satanic) tribes, two Kurdish religious rivals.
So far I correct it according to Kurdish in two ways A: Kúraš, I captured Esáq-ian and Ezid.ian, set up the father (Ápaĺ) Kambüžiia their king; or B: Kúraš, I captured the Esáq-ian‘s and Ezid.ian‘s patriarchs (Ápal), set up Kambüžiia their king. Anyway the Kurdish Esáq, Ersáq = Biblical Isaac, Es‘haq in Arabic. This Kúraš (Konig von Babylon, 539-529 BC) is unjustly identified as Persians. In the inscriptions: a) Kúraš Cylinder, b) Backsteininschrift, there is no any mention of Achaemenids, Persian, or any evidence which proves that this Kúraš was a Bersian (Persian) or has anything to do with them. The texts and the names are perfect depicted in the Kurdish language. They report of regional kings established by Kúraš and ethnic struggle between different Kurdish ethnic territories. Although they deny extraordinary brutal that the previous names of present Kurdish people in ancient documents: Kurdu (Kurds), Ezdiá, Luur, Laak, Kurdali, Babili Záizzaan (Babylonian Záízán) and countless other names and evidences have whatever to do with the Kurdish! Subsequently they refuse purposive any acknowledgement of present Kurdish and ignore the history and the true identity of the Kurds. The established opinion made on behalf of science a false scientific historical identity for the Kurdish nation as “an Iranian, New Persian population”. They changed the Kurdish historico-cultural identity and cultural-heritage to “ancient-Iran, -Iraq, -Turkey or –Syria”. That cannot be other than to overshadow the existence of Kurdish nation with the invented nations, Syria, Iraq, Turkey and Iran, the occupiers of Kurdsu. In such a way, one is for centuries busy with destroying of the Kurdish structure and elimination of the existence of the Kurdish nation. So they uproot the existence of the Kurds A Kurdish nation about 40 million has been written to death, just because of racism-religious-economic motives and strategies. That is genocide on “scientific way”. In 1998, I made my discovery known and published in books: H.Q. Bérai, 2002; 2003; 2005 en 2006, by Institute Elamirkan in the Netherlands, distributed worldwide over the Near Eastern institutes, the IUA´s members of them. The research has been constant hindered by opposition of some Dutch government agencies and also by a number of Dutch Nazi-professors in the universities, the patrons of the Nazi’ pseudo-scientific heritage who are partly responsible for falsifying of historical documents and falsification of identity of the Kurdish nation, see more ... |
